Any success stories about Evenity to share with fearful me?
After acquiring 2 compression fractures, I am biting the bullet and going for my first Evenity shot in 2 days. I am afraid of everything from heart palpitations (I have AFIB) to muscle spasms and joint pain and everything else . Has anyone been ok on the shots? Or only had minor issues? I would love to read encouraging words. My REMS scores were ok: hip -1.0, spine -1.2, but my DEXA scores were much worse: hip -2.8, spine-4.8, so I feel I have little choice now. Many thanks.

@djmm thank you, yes this is quite helpful. Why are some directed to infusion centers for the Evenity injections and others can do it at home? When at home, do you pick up the medicine at the pharmacy?
Thank you💜
I started Evenity 5 months ago. The first three months I had no real side effects but the last two months I have had aches and pains so bad that I can barely walk. Has anyone quit Evenity halfway through the 12 month protocoland had any significant improvement?

I have now had my 7th Evenity injection. My post-injection side effect is feeling itchy all over for several days, a full week after the jab. I began BHRT nearly 4 months ago, at age 66, having finally found a naturopathic clinic willing to write the prescription. I haven't been able to tell if the BHRT is helping at all, actually, since I am still dealing with pain from 4 fractures in August 2025. (T11, 12, L1,2). Sometimes I wonder if some of my discomfort now, so long after the fractures, is due to Evenity. My hips, across my back--oh! I am retiring earlier than I had intended or planned because I cannot take an 8 hour day anymore. It's very upsetting, in every way. My biggest concern now is what to do when Evenity is over. My endo talks of Reclast, and I know others have taken it without issues, but the way these drugs work has never made sense to me. Why hold on to brittle old bone which is prone to breaking? Just so my bones look denser upon xray? And would my body eliminate my newly-built, and hopefully strong, Evenity bone? And how can we ever get away from these drugs if we must fear fracturing like crazy when our bodies' natural processes return? I am thinking of just keeping up my BHRT and amping up my weight-bearing exercises, etc. (Plenty of time for the gym since I won't be working...) My endo will definitely have an opinion on this, but I wonder what he would do in my place, you know? It is so hard to know what to do to live without regrets in the future. I truly value the comments and experiences shared here. They are invaluable.

1 ReactionI’ve had five months of Evenity. The last two months I’ve had severe bone and muscle aches. I don’t think I can do it any longer. Has anyone quit after four or five months and seen any positive results?
@dalberk
Have you discussed this with your endocrinologist?

2 ReactionsI just finished a year of Evenity And my bone density test showed much improvement. Luckily I did not have any side effects to this drug and it obviously was very good for me. We now have to decide where to go from here.

I had similarly positive results with my year of evenity. Congratulations.
May I ask how old you are? Any Osteoporosis drugs prior to evenity?
