Any ideas?

I really don’t know where to begin. I started having a really dry eye and tried eyedrops, then allergy medicine. That didn’t really help, then I started having pressure in my face (nose, eyes, cheeks). It comes and goes, but I went to my doctor and he thinks it’s a sinus infection. He prescribed steroids and antibiotics, I’ve taken those for a week and it’s helped a ton but I’m still not feeling relief. Ive also been taking medicine for sinus pressure, which has helped as well. But still no relief. What should I do? What could it be? Bad cold?

@unknown67 I’m not a doctor. I have had lots of experience with sinus, eye, etc. I have been called “The Queen of Sinus Problems”…
Dry eyes happen when taking sinus or cold medicine. The cold/sinus meds are designed to dry up your runny nose, and unfortunately, they dry out your eyes too.
If you’re using over the counter nasal spray, you must stop after 3 days. If you don’t, your nasal passages will swell and close again. I would stop taking any cold medicine. They stop your body from recovering.
If I was you, I would finish the medication the doctor prescribed for you.
Then get a spray CAN of Vicks brand SALINE (salt) spray. It will moisturize your nasal passages. Because it’s salt water, it can be used as much as you need.

Keep it simple for a while and see how you feel.

I used to have sinus infection every year until I started to use netti pot to rinse my nose. You have to be extra careful with netti pot. I use distilled water, wash my hand before use, clean the pot after and let it dry in an clean open ziplock bag (open sideways so dirt doesn’t collect on the pot) Tap water can contain bacteria and can cause brain infection. Think cross contamination when using netti pot. Another option is using saline spray. Let the saline go through your nose and come out from your mouth. Lots of work but beat taking antibiotics every year.
