Anxiety adrenaline waves every AM waking me from sleep.

Posted by esikora @esikora, Nov 13, 2021

Hello,
As stated above, every AM at around 5, I start having uncomfortable adrenaline-like waves throughout my body. If I try to sleep, the waves cause weird dreams and then I wake up. This has been going on for about eight months. There has been considerable stress in my life during this time, but now things are improving, but the waves are just as bad.
Has anyone ever experienced this?
Thanks.

I have tried all three of those medications but did NOT find relief for the early morning anxiety. Everybody is different. It's not fair to tell people what to do. I don't think that is appropriate for a SUPPORT GROUP! Judge not lest three be judged.

I am a bit confused by your post. Yes, we all know everyone is different. What's a life savior for me can be a nightmare for you, obviously.
I have been on Mayo Clinic Connect for awhile now and have never felt anyone is telling anyone "what to do" and, certainly, no one is being unfair. The purpose of this forum is to reach out, see if other folks are experiencing what you are (whatever the subject matter may be), and "offer" suggestions only. Or "offer" personal experiences related to one's particular post. That's it. We are offering our "experiences and relating" to others facing the same problem/dilemma to see if any particular thoughts would be fitting to ourselves. We all know this and know this is NOT hands down medical advise or expecting anyone to "follow" what we say! It is simply sharing and relating to our fellow human beings who may be dealing with exactly what we are dealing with in our lives.
What's not appropriate here? It is exactly what a Support Group is suppose to be!
No one is judging another participant at all!
