Anucort-HC vaginally - Lichen Sclerosis healing

I've suffered with Lichen Planus for decades on various parts of my body. The most painful and troubling of the last several years is in the vaginal area. Urinating had become a horror--extremely painful. I have sought help from numerous medical professionals and even had a surgery 16 months ago. I've been on Estradiol and Clobetasol forever. I began seeing a different Uro/Gyno doc in Jan. She prescribed Anucort-HC suppositories (vaginally). This had nothing to do with the LS but amazingly my lichen has either been healed or gone into remission. I no longer have pain when urinating. I also stopped using Clobetasol. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Here is the bad news. My first Rx of Anucort-HC for 90 days was $30. I just requested a refill and it is now $392.76 co-pay. I'm going to see if I can get it in a cream form. I read that Hydrocortisone 1% topical is comparable. This treatment would cost pennies. Just reaching out to see if the great minds out there have advice. Thanks.

Call the company. Some companies have programs for people who need the medication and can’t afford to pay for it or just a program so you can get it at a lower price. In the past, I’ve had medication’s that were extremely high contacted the company and I was given the product for about it 10th of what I was going to pay. They may give it to you free due to your income or they will give you a co-pay of A few dollars.
It won’t hurt to call him and ask if they had any program
Good luck with the cost of everything going today. It’s going to mean a lot of balancing to make it to the end of the month.
