Ankylosing spondylitis: anyone else?
i have been suffeing with muscle and and joint pain for longer than i care to remember. it started out with fibromyalgia and now they thonks its either rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondolytis but herein lies the problem i have all the symptoms but nothing is conclusive. the pain continues to worsen and i don't know what to do has anyone had similar problems?

HELLO, I AFTER MANY YEARS OF UNEXPLAINED ILLNESS AND PAIN WAS FINALLY TESTED FOR THIS GENE AND CAME BACK POSITIVE. IM VERY NERVOUS AND WAITING TO GET AN APPT WITH A RHUMATOLGIST. ANY SUGGESTIOS ON WHAT TO EXPECT

2 ReactionsYou need to do slow stretching and walking every day to stay loose/ I bought those heat/cold gel packs from dollar store: heat in microwave and put on area hurting: usually back:neck- for about 10 mins:then hit the floor on back with knees to chest/stretch-twist hips right:hold to 60 then left-hold to 60- build up more time over weeks- really helps

4 ReactionsHELLO! IM 50 AND HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM MULTIPLE ISSUES FOR YEARS. SOME DAYS THE PAIN AND INFLAMATION ARE SO BAD I CANT MOVE. IM ALWAYS TIRED AND I MEAN TIRED. FOOD IS NOT MY FRIEND. I CANT ALWAYS HOLD MY BLADDER . I HAVE MESSED MYSELF AS WELL. SOME DAYS I AM IN A FULL FOG AND MY EYES ARE BLURRY. I WAS FINALLY TESTED FOR THE HLA-B27 GENE AND TESTED POSITIVE. MY PRIMARY TOLD ME WITH ALL MY SYMPTOMS I HAVE ANKYLOSING SPONDILITIS. I AM CURRENTLY WAITING FOR INTAKE TO CALL AND SCHEDULE MY FIRST APPT. TO BE HONEST IM HAPPY TO FINALLY AFTER OVER 15YRS OF FEELING LIKE IM CRAZY TO HAVE AN ANSWER. I AM ALSO TERRIFIED TO HAVE THE ANSWER. THEN TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE MY DAUGHTER TESTED POSITIVE AS WELL, SHE IS 24. ANY ADVISE OR ENCOURGEMENT WILL BE SO HELPFUL.

1 ReactionI also have tested positive for the gene. What do any of you do for pain. I am 3 weeks after a Whipple and my pain in hip, neck and back is #10 I do not do well with oxy, I also have an appointment with a rheumatologist. Any suggestions for pain are welcomed. I am going to do the stretch today. Thank you

Fybermiagia years ago and it has turned out to be spondylitis
Someone mentioned water therapy on my spondylitis page is all I have come up with I’m going to try it we have a poll here where I live I will let you know if it helps any but check out the support group My Spondylitis it give a lot of information and it has 82,000 members
