Angry outbursts from my oppositional defiant disorder (ODD)

My ODD causes me to have angry outbursts where everything pisses me off. I'm having one of those moments and I feel like a terrible person. Every little thing is getting to me. The static noise. The TV in the backround. My heartbeat. Voices, slow internet, message rings. I feel like I'm going crazy and my anxiety is through the roof, I can't stop crying.. I don't want this anymore I just want to be happy

Hi @underedwardstale2018,

I was reading through some of your messages, and I want to reassure you that after all that you've been through, you are not going crazy. You've certainly faced problems in life, but I also see that you've tried to help others, on Connect, face their anxieties by sharing much-valued insights. And for a teenager, that is truly admirable. That takes a lot of inner strength.

Here's one of my favorite quotes: “You don’t overcome challenges by making them smaller but by making yourself bigger.”
I'm tagging @georgette12 @amberpep and Mentors @gailb @jimhd, and in the meantime would it help if you could find some place to breathe, and (rather than saying 'slow down') 'expand' your mind?

Thank you. I appreciate your comment on inner strength, especially as right now it feels I have none. I really do find a special place of comfort when I'm helping others.
That would help, I'll give it a shot. Thank you so much.

Hi, @underedwardstale2018 -- your mention of having oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) leading to some angry outbursts made me think that we may have some members who have (or a loved one has) this same disorder who may have some insights for you: @concernedmtnmom, @kadt, @auntiemom, @kathilee, @rohnda, @lizkat. @gman007 and @dawn_giacabazi may also have some thoughts on what you've said.

Have you been having any more of those moments where everything is getting to you and making you feel angry this week?

Yes, almost all week I've felt this way. It makes me feel bad because I am not very easy to get along with when it happens
