Anastrozole: Did you experience developing anxiety? What helps?

Breast Cancer! Have completed surgery, chemo & radiation. Been treated also with Herceptin. Need some suggestions for anxiety which seems to be developing from Anastrozole! Appreciate any suggestions of what to take along with Anastrozole to ease the low mood & anxiety that has come along with this pill.

My oncologist recommended wild cherry juice to reduce the side effects from the anastrazole, letrozole type AI drugs. She looked a little sheepish so I googled it and sure enough, here is the scientific evidence. My oncologist also recommended and I bought but honestly have not tried. Heading to surgery on 7/2 and have already been on anastrozole 6 mos. And letrozole 6 mos., but that caused tiredness and grumpiness so switched . Guess I’ll be on anastrozole for five more years and a hopefully small round of radiation. Wondering why so many of us now in 70/80’s are developing BC again…I had lumpectomy 25 years ago in right breast and thought I’d done well all these years—until boom, I’m not😪

@buckokey Agree! It’s all very unsettling. I just turned 80 & have been thru chemo, radiation, immunotherapy and now on a pill (Anastrozole) for 5 years. By then I’ll be 85! Wondering the value of the pill because if it’s side effects. Would appreciate feedback from anyone else on this pill.
