Alternatives to the Watchman? My wife needs something smaller

My wife's internal heart structure is too small for the watchman by 1 mm. Are there alternatives that accommodate smaller sizes and have the same or better results? Has anybody tried those alternatives? She wants to get off Eliquis as she is constantly nauseous.

There are other devices, such as the amulet which is approved, and investigational devices may be an option. An experienced center would have this information

There are other procedures like the Mini-Maze that normally involve the closure of the LAA. There is a clip they can apply over the LAA to clamp it off...I know nothing about it other than it has been successful for quite a few patients.

@bens1 you bet. If she’s being treated at Mayo they will be your best resource.
