I am sorry to hear that you’re going through this. I got the Moderna shots and the booster. Several days after booster I felt lumps under my arm. I read it was a normal reaction and for some it lasted 6 to 8 months. I went to the doctor on the third month and was told, yes we’ve seen this. She noticed I also had a rash on the arm and a red whelp. Six months later I had ann ultrasounds and was told it was probably reactive. I was to return in three months but got Covid . On the 9th month I got second ultrasound and had multiple lymph node swelling. Dr sent me for a biopsy . Pathology diagnosis is low grade lymphoma leukemia. I now have to go to hematology. What is going on with the Covid shots, it seems that there are so few of us with adverse reactions for the doctors to figure out what’s going on. We get the shots to avoid serious Covid effects , still get Covid and detrimental health issues. I’m very alarmed and sorry I took the shots.

Here is some information about what to do:
- Allergic Reactions after COVID-19 Vaccination: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/allergic-reaction.html
You're not alone. Allergic reactions are being studied.

@janeram, you are going through a lot. Am I understanding correctly that you have kidney disease, COPD and lung cancer? Those are conditions you've been managing for a while. However, you most pressing concern right now is this scary allergic reaction that may be from the mRNA vaccine. Is that correct?

Have you or will you be seeing an allergy and/or immunology specialist?

@janeram I'm saddened to read you feel alone and uncared for. The medical profession has seen several different and varied reactions to Covid vaccinations. It's not clear but I think there is simple no way to understand how one person may have no problems, but the next person does. It may be tied to existing health issues someone is dealing with, and the body's reaction to the vaccine.

You mentioned you have kidney disease, COPD, tumor in your lungs, and knot in your breast. What has your nephrologist and cardiologist had to say about your reaction to the vaccine? What type of kidney disease are you dealing with?

Thank you all for your comments it means so much more that I could ever say. Just to know that I'm not alone! Some of my story... Single mom of 3. I was stupid and smoked for many years. I have COPD , Emphysema and Asthma. The spots in my lungs are a couple spots but one in particular is a tumor. They have been watching for some time. It has shrunk a little. (Thank our lord!) I also have something called gross Hemature in my kidneys. I have been dealing with these health issues for quite some time. The kidney issued did not start until I had a stent put in for a kidney stone. I have had at least nine surgeries removing tumors and nodulars from my body and various places and I've also already had a full hysterectomy due to cancer cells when I was 29. So now ........... I received only 1 Moderna shot on March 25th 2021 by April the 2nd I had gotten so swollen and April 3rd I had to go to the hospital I have photo documentation that is showing that it's not going away. Since I got the shot the swollen Lymph Nodes or whatever..... goes from around my ears, chin, neck ,underarms ,under my breast and my groin down to behind my knees. Every day the pain changes. I've had so many tests from the doctors and they say I need to see a rheumatoid doctor. So they did the test because a rheumatoid doctor says you have to have certain tests done before they will see you. Well I had all their test done almost all of their tests come back normal. Also my eyes has red welts all around them. So now they want me to go see a psych doctor but they don't want to do any more tests. So they don't want to help me. They don't want to see me again until the end of March beginning of April. So therefore I'm left this way in pain ,no help, no where to go and hanging on by a string! And oh yeah found a knot in my breast.. Soo Thank you for your thoughts and your prayers it's nice to know I'm not alone! It makes the string that I'm hanging on to a little thicker so Thank you!

Do you feel the vaccine caused the leukemia?

REPLY

I read that the mRNA progresses certain cells and causes nodes to swell but says they should return to normal. It’s been a year and mine haven’t which led to the biopsy. . One person suggests that maybe low grade lymphoma or leukemia was already present. It’s just hard to know for sure but I know I had no swollen nodes prior to getting the two shots and booster. I am scheduled to see hematology tomorrow and praying that the nodes are just reactive as the doctor told me. If they’re reactive how long before they return to normal. At the initial they were very swollen and hurt but the soreness subsided and they’re still present. Ultrasound showed them to be increased in number with two getting larger. As one doctor put it, the vaccines though tested still have unknown reactions.

It's not leukemia but it has 100% caused everything that is going on with me now and the pain that I am in I never had this before I got that shot. Biggest mistake ever!!
