Has anyone had success with afluzosin? Us older men have issues with urination. Getting up multiple times at night.

@howardrlewis Yes, my urologist prescribed alfuzosin after I told him that I didn’t think tamsulosin was working for me and that I didn’t like the RE side effect caused by tamsulosin. I found alfuzosin worked much better without the other side effects. Unfortunately for me, I had a liver transplant in Feb 2022 and my medical team will not prescribe alfuzosin due to concerns about drug interactions with my immunosuppressants and the impact on my liver. So I’m back on a combination of daily tadalfil (5mg) and I take tamsulosin every other evening. The combination seems to be working ok for me without the RE side effect. I take tadalafil mid-day, and the tamsulosin every other day before bedtime. Some nights are better than others, but on balance I generally get up about 2X per night to pee. Sometimes I can sleep almost the entire night - which feels like a bonus! I’m 66 and have had BPH for probably 15 years. I’m considering a more permanent solution - Aquablation most likely. Good luck.
