Aerobika
Has anyone purchased an Aerobika on Ebay lately? I've searched under different search phrases and not found it. I've tried all the search phrases I can think of.

@cwal That just means there are none for sale on eBay right now. Try a Google search for Aerobika - there are many mail order suppliers with prices from $70-90.
At Health Products for you, the price is $79.00 with 20% for first order, Save Rite Medical is $69.50. You can find others too.
I usually ask my provider for one in advance of each visit, I am billed a $20 copay, insurance covers the rest.
Sue, does the office do the billing?
@sueinmn where do you fill the aerobika prescription. Even at NJH you have to pay I believe $69.
@lilianna and @pacathy At my clinic. Respiratory therapist has them in stock. She submits the insurance claim. But you don't need an Rx to buy one.
I will try that at my pulmonologist office next time I am there. I was never offered that way and of course 20$ is less to pay than $69. Thank you Sue
As far as I know my insurance will only pay for an Acapella which is not worth using. The Aerobika is much better quality and works more effectively. So, I have to go on a search on Ebay from time to time for replacements. It is tricky finding them with the "right" wording for a search as they tend to list them in odd ways, as well as sometimes they are there for sale and sometimes not. So, if someone happens upon them before I do please let me know.
@cwal several medical supply companies sell the Aerobika and don’t require a prescription. Might be a more readily available resource instead of going through eBay. I believe the manufacturer suggests replacing the device every 6 months. My doctors don’t stock or prescribe it so this is the route I go.
My ins didn’t cover either. And I work for a drug store company. I bought on seniors day and got the 20% off the do once a week for seniors.
@cwal, I have been using an Acapella for the past 18 months with great success. I was intrigued by the comments on the Aerobika I read on this site, so I got one. But the plastic used for the Aerobika really bothers my sinuses and triggered the growth of some nasal polyps. Acapella does not do that at all. I now use Acapella only. I just nebulize 1 vial of 7% then 40 breaths on the Acapella morning and again in the evening. I also do a minimum of 1 hour of cardio daily now, at a challenging speed, which helps me complete my airway clearance. My lungs feel good, really good. 2 weeks ago, I reduced the number of breaths on the Acapella to just 25 twice daily, because I had way too much work and needed a break on AC time and after a week, I felt I neeeded to go back to 40, I then I expelled colored mucus for a few days, until it all cleared. It definitely works for me. For each breath on it, I try to blow hard and long, the longest I can. There are even rare days when I blow 80 breaths on it in the evening just to see if more comes out. There is no discomfort. And it is effective for me. Best wishes of great health to all of us!
@sueinmn I take it the pulmonary office, your provider, hands you the Aerobika when you go in after they filed the insurance claim???
I am going to see if it will work for me with my 'provider'.
Good information Sue, hope we are lucky like you...... with the provider help.
