Anyone have experience with AcrySof IQ PanOptix® Trifocal IOL?

Has anyone had personal experience with the AcrySof IQ PanOptix® Trifocal IOL recently approved by the FDA? It’s being pushed now in my area by the ophthalmologists. In fact, one doctor is doing both eyes at the same time which seems unsound to me. Any opinions? Thanks.

Here's a study on the topic - https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9237585/#:~:text=As%20predicted%20by%20the%20theoretical,(Snellen%2020%2F22)%2C

There is no free lunch in optics ... my understanding is that single vision IOLs offer the best visual quality, as they don't "split" the light - splitting the light also causes a variety of unwanted effects. However, IOL manufacturers continue to improve these outcomes.

If you have had refractive surgery (Lasik or PRK) there is a very real issue with all non-adjustable IOLs missing the refractive target on implantation. The only solution to this is an IOL like the Light Adjustable Lens (LAL) which can be adjusted after implantation, and which can provide some amount of EDOF (Extended Depth Of Focus), improving mid range vision. Many chose some degree of mono/blended vision with these IOLs.
