Aching Body With Moderate Activity
Does anyone out there know what would cause intense bone aching with moderate activity? I used to be able to do high impact exercises, but in the last three years I can’t even do my house cleaning without feeling like I need to rest my aching bones. I wake up and feel fine, but as the day progresses I feel more and more pain in my bones. My hands, feet, hips and back get so painful that I feel like I can’t even complete simple tasks because the aching is so intense. I’ve been checked for arthritis and it’s only confirmed in my knees. I’m a 44 yo female. I’ve also had my hormones checked and they’re within normal ranges. I have chronically low vitamin D which I’m on supplements for. That’s helped with muscle twitching and heart palpitations but it hasn’t done anything for bone pain.

@auntrah. Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. It sounds like you have explored this medically with your doctor. When you refer to bone pain do you mean pain in your joints? I ask because from what I know about arthritis (I have osteoarthritis) I experience pain especially in my lower back and hip joints. This joint pain has increased with age (I'm 73 years old) and started about ten years ago.
Are you perimenopausal or menopausal? You wrote that your hormone levels are within the normal range for your age group. You mention muscle twitching and heart palpitations. Are there medical diagnoses you've received that explain those symptoms?
Sounds like Osteoarthritis or Fibromyalgia I have both and am unable to go to my basement to wash laundry as it is to painful. Thankful for my husband. He is a great helper.
