About sinus surgery. I need opinions.
Recently I was with the ENT doctor and after she prescribed me some nasal spray (Azelastine), saline water and Fluticasone by my pulmologist. I keep getting nasal congestion specifically at night. The ENT doctors in my last visit they suggested a sinus surgery. I have mild emphysema and I need advice about how is the recovery and if worth the risk
to do it. Thanks for your response.

I had deviated septum surgery before my COPD got worse & I do believe it helped..Is this the surgery your speaking of?
@pattymc Hi patty, and thanks for your feedback. I don't have deviated septum or any anatomical anomaly in my nose. I have been suffering from nasal congestion since March this year and I visited the ENT doctor and the Allergist but I don't have any allergies and the last visit to E.N.T the doctor suggested a sinus surgery. Because I am in my 63 and with mild emphysema I was thinking about the risks of that surgery. But those last days I was reading about Flomax, a medication that my Urologist prescribed me and one of the sides effects are nasal congestion. I stop using it and I can feel the difference, no nasal congestion at night. I think that I don't need the sinus surgery by now. I appreciate your response patty. I was so worried about it. But now I will speak with my Urologist to see others alternatives to Flomax.
