Abnormal Toenail

Posted by wildvines @wildvines, 1 day ago

The left side of the toenail on my big toe looks like it broke off and grew back, but I never had any toe damage or injury. The spot goes from the top of the toenail down to the cuticle. I can feel a vertical ridge where this spot ends or the normal toenail area begins. There is more medium pink color under the nail than usual. There is no pain or discomfort. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I had something also.
Left big toe. It looked funny for a few months. The top half off white last half normal color. Then one day it looked like I had fuzz On the side of my toe halfway down.
I couldn’t brush it away, so I thought I had a little fuzz I got caught Took my fingernail pressed on it and moved it to the side. Boy, did I get a surprise?
The nail pulled over halfway off, and there was part of it still holding on Normal color, everything
So I just kinda took a gentle finger out a file and kinda carefully until it grew out I was thinking About a week later, I took my sock off and the rest of it came off half the toenail was gone It is now growing back and it looks normal
Same with me no injuries

Thanks for the responses. I found someone online who recommended Zinc Pyrithione for toenail fungus, but I don't know if that's what I have.

That is a good question.
I got hurt and went into rehab for 2 weeks. When I got home I had something going on in a few toes. My doctor said it would go away. It is now over a year and I still have 1 toe not right.
I do think I picked something up there.
Not happy about it.
