Abnormal CT scan waiting weeks for pulmonologist
I have results of a CT : left lower lobe discoid atelectasis/slowly resolving consolidation which is in the area of prior infection is slowly resolving
Right lower lobe; focal ground glass attenuation which is also another possible area of previous infection slowly resolving.
Also some small nodules.
I had pneumonia that got better in January. Scan done a few weeks ago. I’m 53 and super nervous waiting for pulmonologist! I had a normal pulmonary function test. I feel ok in general, sometimes a little winded with exertion but not sure what to think etc. I’m having trouble with the wait! I keep thinking I have a new chronic disease.

I know waiting is hard and it takes a while to get into a pulmonologist, especially as a new patient.
Did you have Covid and the mRNA injections in the past in addition to pneumonia? Were you a smoker or were you exposed to 2nd hand smoke? What type of work do you do and have you been exposed to any environmental toxins?
Did you get a ct scan as a follow up to your pneumonia infection? Were you treated with antibiotics and were you given breathing treatments/inhalers?
Hi! I’ve had Covid before, a couple years ago. I was vaccinated. I got Zpack antibiotic for the pneumonia. I haven’t been exposed to much smoke nor to many toxins that I’m aware of. Probably some mild as our house is older. I was given inhalers during pneumonia recovery. I thought they helped but eventually saw they didn’t help. In the pulmonary function test, they said albuterol made no difference.
Oh yeah and I work at home but have young kids who bring home plenty of colds etc especially in
winter season.
CT scan was for after pneumonia. I recovered in January sometime and scan was done a few weeks ago in April.
