Abdominal muscle tightness

Well I have a lot of symptoms. But I would like to focus on one first. Around April and May I started having bloated stomach and abdomen and this happened once a day and only occurred at night time and it is progressing worse. At the end of May this also occurred in the morning. Even I did not eat, I still felt bloated. But that lasted for a couple hours and then subsided. Right now it has changed from bloating to tightness. This happened the day after I had acupuncture. And I do not think acupuncture caused that. In the morning if I do not eat it is slightly better but after I eat I could feel a little tight. But in the evening or at night the abdomen muscle or to be more accurate internally abdominal muscle becomes really tight and it becomes worse if I eat. This happens particularly when I stand up and I feel something inside my abdomen pushing my abdominal muscle out. This makes it difficult to breathe and move. I feel slightly better when lying down or sitting but worse when standing up. Do u know what causes that? I do not have any injury or anything to my abdomen. I have been to the GI doc and have had endo and colonoscopy done and everything was normal and have had empty stomach test and still waiting for the result because I do not really feel hungry and I am fine with eating a small meal that could last for a whole day.

This is really bothering me the most because that affects my movement and it is worse when I crouch and squat.

@learningstudent, that's a tough one, especially if GI specialists could find nothing.
You've probably already seen articles on the internet like this one:
– Why does my stomach feel tight? https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/320910
Have all of those potential causes been explored?

Please let us know what you find out from the test results. How are you feeling today?

Yup the symptom I have has existed more than 3 months and I am afraid it is getting worst. As of today I have received no treatment and any diagnosis and it has been almost a year since I went to see from doctors to specialists. And I feel more tired and less concentrated than I used to. New symptoms seem to occurr every couple months which makes me anxious and scared.

Also it gets worse and affects my movement only when I stand up and if I have like a strap or belt to wrap around it I feel better.

Hello @learningstudent,

You do not mention any other digestive upsets (like nausea, diarrhea, or constipation) but I'm wondering if you have any symptoms like that. Also, any problems with urinating? Please share only as you are comfortable doing so.

@learningstudent – It’s good that nothing was found inside stomach and intestines. Have they done an abdominal ultrasound? Also, an abdominal Doppler ultrasound, which can detect abnormalities in the blood flow of abdominal organs. This particular test helped diagnose one of my abdominal pain problems. There was restricted blood flow in one area, causing pain and discomfort after meals. I also didn’t want to eat or just eat small meals.
It was not something the doctors were thinking of right away. If no cause is found after your last tests, maybe you could mention this to the doctor. The Doppler ultrasound is an easy, noninvasive test.

@astaingegerdm .
I find your suggestion of the two different note sounds interesting. What is the difference in the two abdominal ultra sounds?

@hopeful33250 – Sorry that I didn’t clarify the difference! The regular abdominal ultrasound looks at all organs- liver, spleen, gallbladder etc. The Doppler ultrasound looks at the blood flow in the abdomen.

Well I have had endoscopy and colonoscopy, ultrasound, nuclear empty stomach test as well as the nuclear gallbladder test. However the empty stomach test shows that it takes a long time for me to empty the contents in the stomach. Except that everything is ok. Also I feel nauseous sometimes. Yup I have kidney stone too. There was one stone that got stuck in the urethra three weeks ago. I pissed one out after the third day but afterward when I pee I do not feel normal there seems to take a while for me to start and the stream of urine is pretty week and the color of the urine becomes clear and pale. There is no UTI after the urinalysis or urine test. On top of that when I start urinating I feel that the urine seems to stop at the opening before it comes out and drips. I have also had the autonomous test cuz my heart rate is pretty high. When resting, it is 80 to 99 or sometimes over 100. But when I eat or walk it could go up to 120, which is scary. I feel heart pounding when that happens.
