Counting my blessings - and wishing all a healthy and uneventful New Year.
I just thanked my daughter and son-in-law (again) for a 7 year old Christmas gift that "keeps on giving" - a cozy hooded alpaca pullover - I am a cold weather wimp - even indoors!

Time for a late afternoon walk. Don’t need Sue’s pullover here in balmy Dallas. DO need the will to fend off the Siren’s Song of a Wiley Temptress in my head “Hey Dude, a few Zzzz’s not gonna hurt nobody.” Wonder if I can have the cake and eat it too? Don

“Balmy” Dallas succumbed to a blast from Oklahoma and points north.

Hello Just found this message board. and just started the ABx tx. Does anyone have MG in addition to Mac-Nt? I just tried taking Vitamin D 50,000 iu as someone here suggested. I think it's making me feel better. 2 days in. I had to stop Rimfampin-- it was making me crazy and spiking my BP. I was told by my dr to take all my Abx on empty stomach. It seemed to work. I do not have the dreaded nausea. I wait at least an hr before eating. I take probiotics and eat yogurt daily. Gotta get back to walking again soon. Happy New Year to all.

Yep went for a walk and almost froze my skinny butt off and I’ve none to spare. It helped though to come home and make a make a cup of hot “HELPS Organic Breath Well” Tea which I learned of through the good offices of Mayo Connect Mentor Sue.

MG?
Many of us do take a Vitamin D supplement, but 50,000 iu is a lot, unless you have been specifically diagnosed as deficient and are being monitored. A more normal amount would be 2000-3000 iu per day.

The reason for concern is that Vitamin D is fat soluble, and the excess doesn't just get eliminated in your urine, it gets stored in the liver. That can causliver toxicity.
Would you consider reducing the dose to a more moderate level? When I was diagnosed deficient, I used 5000 iu for about 3 months then dropped to 2000 iu when tests showed my level was normal.
