Has anyone used 3% diclofenac to eliminate actinic keratosis?
I’d like to hear some feedback on those who have used 3% diclofenac to eliminate actinic keratosis. Over the years I have had cryosurgery, an ED&C (electrodesiccation and curettage), and Mohs surgery on my scalp. I vowed that after the Mohs that I would never have my scalp frozen, burned or cut into ever again. My dermatologist suggested 3% diclofenac for the AKs that I still have. It’s a fairly long term process – twice a day for 3 months, but it is supposed to be gentler on the skin than other field treatments. Right now, I’ve been using it just on one lesion for the last two weeks, so any insights on what to expect would be most welcome.

I had a seborrheic keratosis (not actinic) around 1cm for around 6 months. I started using 3% diclofenac gel twice a day after Googling treatments, and one week later it is almost gone.

1 ReactionIt is worth a try. Have you been offered the photosensitive treatment with light exposure.
It is more effective than diclofenac.?
