1q21 gain myeloma

Posted by blessing19 @blessing19, Jan 23, 2020

Mum was recently diagnosed myeloma. Fish result shows 70% cells have 1q21 gain. It is high risk and poor prognosis. I am devastated. Does anyone have similar experience?

@blessing19, I am sorry to hear of your mother's diagnosis of myeloma. If you don't mind me asking, is her diagnosis multiple myeloma?

Yes. I actually have problems understanding the FISH report. Can someone help please? My doc only said 1q+ is detected and is high risk. However I also see some translocations eg t(4,14)? But the report says it is not detected? Can anyone help?
