17,000 ectopic heart beats per day

Hi there Brains Trust. I wonder if you might have experience with this. I had always had heart palpitations. What I now know to be ectopic thuds a few times a year with chest pain. Third Covid shot bought on 17,000 ectopic thuds per day. Each fourth heart beat is one of those thuds someone might get once a year. Medication doesn’t seem to be working and am not looking forward to my next heart specialist apt. Has someone else been down this road before. What am I in for. Many thanks.

I don't have a ton of advice or really much at all. I am going on a year of having high burden PVC's that cause extreme fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, and brain fog on exertion. I just had 2nd ablation. They found the "misfire" was deep in the heart muscle and close to the AV node. The dr "pushed the boundaries" in getting close and feels he has exhausted all options for further ablation. If he had gotten any closer to the AV node he feared I would be pacemaker dependent going forward and he's not in favor of that as an option at this point.
I was told all along PVC’s are generally benign and for most they are. Mine would go into hours of bigeminy and trigeminy. It was during those periods that I struggled. I am hopeful this last ablation works.
My best piece of advice is to find a cardiologist who listens. The very first one I went to when I landed in the ER a year ago tried to tell me I was just having a touch of anxiety. I am an athlete who competes in gravel bike races, runs, and lifts
I knew what I was experiencing was not normal for me. I am also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and can assure you anxiety was not the trigger or what was happening.
I pray 🙏 healing for you.

I had 13 extra beats per minute. My doctor said that that eventually would kill me. I had bigemini and trigemini just at random. I was very blessed: he gave me flecainide and I am completely cured. You should absolutely ask for that medicin initially! I have no adverse advents or so ever. For me it is a wonder medicin.

in your comment you said your doc didn’t want to give you a pacemaker . 8 weeks ago they did a av node ablation and placed a pacemaker . After meds and ablations . I feel so much better. But I tell you that was the hardest emotional decision to make up to the point of being wheeled into OR. I hope the ablation works . But the pacemaker / av ablation was the best for this nurse . I just want you to know . There are options .. good luck in my thoughts .

I'm curious how active you were able to be after having the pacemaker. I can come to terms with no longer racing, but I'm hopeful to at least continue my bikepacking adventures with my partner and with my grandsons.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to reply. I am glad to say i feel most comfortable with my heart specialist. You know the ones you have to wait for in the waiting room but you realise why because they are not in a rush to get you out the door and spend time with you. Those are the ones i don't mind being in the waiting room for. I am not sure what you mean by PVC however or AV node etc. However ihave had the nerve's burnt in my lower back and neck so i am thinking your ablation is similar to doing this around the heart area. I also have inflamation around my heart as well which they though i was having a heart attack at one point. I did as well. Wishing you all the best.
