Photo of prescription label instead of Rx from doctor
Recently, I ordered a Pari Trek for an upcoming trip. It was on sale from DirectHomeMedical.com so I purchased there. I was delighted when DHM wrote to me the following:
"In lieu of a prescription for a Nebulizer Compressor, we will accept a photo of any pharmacy label that clearly states your name, the doctor's name, and the medication intended for the unit."
That made things much easier. Not a plug for DHM, but hoping this experience will help others and that other medical supply houses will follow suit.

Was that purchase with or without insurance and/or medicare?
Out-of-pocket without insurance. Aren't they all until you submit paperwork for reimbursement?
Is anyone aware of a Medicare enrolled supplier that carries the Aerobika or the Aero-Eclipse nebulizer made by the same company? When I bought mine out-of-pocket, I submitted the paperwork for reimbursement from Medicare, but it was denied because the company I bought them from is not a Medicare enrolled supplier. I would appreciate finding a supplier, because I know my pulmo. would be willing to prescribe. Thanks for your help!
I am confused now. Guess I need to call and check with my insurance to see if I can be re-imbursed. But does the company have you order from have to be a "Medicare enrolled supplier" ?
For medical devices the company must be enrolled. I am not sure when it comes to supplies - items that last one year or less are in this category. My insurance covers 80 percent, but I haven't claimed my nebulizer supplies. My Aerobika and chamber for my inhaler come from the respiratory therapist at my clinic. They file the claim and months later I get a small bill for the balance.
