First ID appt today after lung resection

Hi- new here! I had a robotic lung resection for a large nodule (almost a mass) that lit up on PET. Was suspected cancer so I opted for surgery because I wanted it out either way. Was relieved not cancer, but it is MAC Intracellulare. (Nodular with no bronchiectasis or cavities). I have a list of questions but would love opinions on treatment vs watch. On one hand I have a good shot at cure with early intervention, but am concerned about damaging side effects of treatment. So happy I found you all!

Rick, careful with that fungus that is what I had. I waited way to long before I saw any Doctor. It was three years ago yesterday that I had the double lobectomy. Thank you for the hug. Jeff

Yea, I waited too long also, By the time I saw a Dr beside my pcp, the MAC already had created a cavity. That was 5+ years ago. Since then I have been under constant care by numerous pulmonologist's, ID's, hospitals, labs. Voriconazole has been successful so far. Next CT in March.
