While maybe not the same drug as you, I believe Michael Milken has been on hormone therapy since 1993 and still going. He credits this in large part to his vegan diet and calorie restriction of 1400 a day.
I can only speak from my experience but I've had 23 low dose treatments and then 6 years later 4 very high dose targeted radiation treatments and have had no side effects. Our differences are my radiation was before chemo but after seed implants. Just FYI to consider. God speed.
2013 52 years old Gleason score of 9, metastatic castrate resistance aggressive prostate cancer that spread to my bones and pelvic area lympnodes that were all removed. To many treatments to list, but they have thrown everything buy the kitchen sink at me. Key to survival, MIND OVER MATTER. I did not change my diet and until this day I take trips and continue to do small projects around the house. I'm not the same physically but I joke about everything about that and death. Sense of humor may be the key but I think that there's a desire to achieve more goals than worrying about death. Oh, and percocet helps, LOL. Just keep upbeat. Crying helps because I believe it helps with the pressure. NEVER ACCEPT A DOCTOR TELLING YOU THAT YOU HAVE THIS LONG TO LIVE. Listen to your favorite music, which is hard rock for me. That's where I'm at and I believe I will NOT die from prostate cancer, I will die with it.
@cooper1076, metastatic prostate cancer means the cancer has spread from the prostate to other parts of the body. It is sometimes called advanced prostate cancer.
