1 ReactionHello All,
I was diagnosed with a Hilial hernia 3 several years ago. For nearly 20 years, I have requested tests over and over regarding my extreme naseau and vomiting. Throughout the years, I have tested positive for ulcers, H-Pylori, acids and other Gastro related issues. Most recently I was rushed to the hospital due to chest pains. I thought that I was having a heart attack for sure but they said it was not a heart attack. During this particular hospital visit, I found out that was an anemic. I looked at past and recent records (I was in the hospital in November) and saw that they put anemia on my chart but failed to tell me. I have had more than four endoscopic procedures including two ph bravo, manometry score of over 16,000 in the last few years. However, although I have diagnosed with things like the hilial hernia level 3, several Doctors have continued to downplay it like it is no big deal, although I am presenting with severe symptoms. Any help that I can get, would be greatly appreciated.

3 Reactions@nancykeenan yes, I have been taking Lansoprazole every night before bed, and sleep on an adjustable bed, the head of which I can raise to a comfortable level.
@rozy288 have you tried Beano tablets before each meal and snacks? That has helped my husband considerably. Also, he has stopped eating all types of beans.
I have gotten help from my chiropractor who gently brings down the hiatal hernia. However, that may not be good for you. If medications don't help, would you consider surgery? That would cure the problem, but surgery is a big step for anyone. Good luck.
I was put on Voquenza and it was game changing!!! I also could not tolerate any PPI's. I am having surgery here soon but honestly the difference Voquenza did for me was amazing.

1 ReactionThanks for your feedback my friend. Yes, I would definitely consider surgery at this point. If you do not mind my asking, how did the chiropractor help with your hilial hernia.
He gently pulls down from the below the sternum (breastbone) a few times. However, if it a significant hiatal hernia, please consider surgery. Good luck.

Hi Maddie! I have been experiencing digestive issues since 2022 and have an endoscopy and colonoscopy coming up in April..
If you don’t mind , can you tell me your symptoms? Based off of my research I think I may have a hiatal hernia as well. I always have serve chest pain when I eat , especially on the right side .I have a lot of gurgling sounds in my belly that I never heard before as if my digestive systems have suddenly started processing loudly. I have extreme gas and it causes me to always have a plan when I leave my home for any reason.
This is a nightmare . I was diagnosed with GERD and given omeprazole (which I’m allergic to) so now I just live with the pain.
I really believe something else is going on. Best of wishes to you Maddie!
