Grover's Disease: What works to help find relief?

Hello everyone, I’m still drinking a cilantro smoothie with about 1 cup packed organic cilantro in water, and taking 6 (500mg) Chlorella tablets daily. I’m so much better it’s incredible. I really can hardly believe it. I’ve gone from feeling miserable and sometimes desperate from lack of sleep, and the insanely itchy— bleeding rash….to almost complete relief. I would say I’m 90% healed. I still feel some slight itchiness mostly at night, or right after I get up, but I don’t need to scratch. I apply Eucerin itch relief or Burt’s bees diaper cream and feel relief. My rash has mostly dried up. I’m going to Mexico over the holidays and am nervous about how I’ll do in the heat. Will my rash fire back up? I’ve bought cilantro capsules for the trip….we will see how it goes. I told my dermatologist about cilantro and she was not interested but said “I guess it can’t hurt you”. I’m going to see a new primary care MD that is more holistic, and she is very interested! She says that cilantro helps the body detoxify and can chelate heavy metals. She was surprised at how quickly it seemed to help me, and ordered lab work, testing me for metals. We are curious about my levels and to see if they go down as I continue ingesting cilantro. I wish I had tested my blood a month ago as I started the cilantro. I’ll report on this to the group. I’m now part of a 1 person study. Ha! Anyway, I attribute my healing to this finding this group and the changes I made after learning from you all. I know cilantro isn’t helpful to everyone and I wish it was! I’m on a journey with my skin. I realize this isn’t a cure, but for now I’m feeling good and am incredible grateful. Thanks especially to @gardeningjunkie and others who continue to post, and answer questions in an effort to help others. You are wonderful!

I'm so so very happy that cilantro worked for you too.
Spreading the word to others is what we need to do because like me and others you've learned most doctors, even dermatologists, are not interested.
I sure would like to learn what your results are on your blood test for metals. We are forced to learn from fellow suffers since doctors can offer no help with this disease.
About a year after I did the cilantro detox and followed up with a few cilantro smoothies monthly I was scheduled for knee replacement. The surgery was canceled because the blood test I demanded and had to pay for personally because Medicare wouldn't cover cost me $600.00 showed positive allergies to 6 metals. I don't know if it tested for metal levels; I should have thought to ask I have no idea if metal allergies are tied to GD, but heavy metals in the body have been.
Hopefully your remission is long lasting like mine and others.

Congratulations. A wonderful success story.
