Good morning @ritabtripp, I had mine two weeks ago and ran a 100-degree fever for a day. Other than that I had a headache and I was very achy for a day or so. Compared to the COVID vaccine this was extremely mild for me.
I am 82 and had zero reaction to the RSV vaccine. Just a little soreness at the injection site. I was so happy to get that RSV vaccine as with my lungs I absolutely cannot afford more damage to my breathing function. And RSV goes for the lungs. Also, I had to start strong dose of Prednisone a month ago so it was really luck I had all my vaccines out of the way because Prednisone can impact effectiveness if done at the same time.
These vaccines are gifts from medical science. Much has gone into their development. Science has been developing them because of the devastation of the disease. We have medical institutions responsible for examining and providing guidance on who should receive them.
Hi, I’m 74 yrs old, and had fatigue (24 hrs), mild temperature, a bit achy, and soreness (injection site). I have asthma, and a lobectomy less than 3 months ago.
Ugh, I got my Covid booster and my flu shot now I need my shingles vaccine, I’m dreading that one. I currently can’t afford the almost $400 for RSV . The rest are covered in Canada.💓

I’m 73 yo woman and had low grade fever less than 100 for a day, fatigue and a bit achy. Happy to endure that for protection.

Hi Rita,
The only reaction I had was a sore arm. All else was a-ok.
Thank you all for your replies! I got the vaccine last evening!
Oh yea - the sore Arm!! It was a bit of a doozy for that compared to flu and covid shots.
And then there is the shingles shot. My arm was incredibly sore (both times) for over a week and a half!! Ouch!!
Oh seriously.
