What's your experience with Ramelteon?

I’ve been taking Ramelteon 8 mg for a month. I think it’s starting to help. I notice that I dream a lot since I started taking it, and I’m sleepy the next day. Will discuss this with the Dr. at next appointment. If the next day drowsiness is something that might go away after awhile, I’ll continue to give it a chance. Nothing else, such as Trazadone and Sonata have helped. Is anyone else experiencing the dreaming and/or next day drowsiness?

I’ve been on 7.5 mg of mirtazapine for about two years. Was on Ativan prior, it had stopped working and none of my doctors wanted me on a benzo and I wanted off. Very gradual weaning. Tried several other drugs but mirtazapine has finally helped. I do have some strange dreaming and can feel groggy but getting the sleep has made a world of difference for me, as the lack of sleep was causing depression and a horrible quality of life.
