Hi @maro6, when will you be starting treatment with cisplatin and durvalumab (Imfinzi)? How are you doing today?

Hello. I started 2 days ago with cisplatine and jemzar but I couldn't afford the cost of imfinzi it is too expensive 😭 yesterday was not bad but at night I felt nausea and chills with heavy head. Thank you for asking

Hello I’m still taking this journey one day at a time. I’m doing well as to be expected. I am on the Lanreotide injection and taken every 28 days with labs and CT Scans every 6 months. All this 4 years as of 2/10/2025.

that's encouraging. Overall how do you feel ? What kind of side effects are you having ? I was diagnosed last week and pretty down about it !

I know @cu2 will respond to let you know how she is doing when she gets a chance.

@bbqpitstop, getting the diagnosis of cancer is definitely a shock and a gut punch. I'm not surprised that it has you down. Were you diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer? What treatment is being recommended?

Hello well I been going through this about 4 years now, I have my moments though. I feel great actually I have diarrhea occasionally (a lot), I don’t like to get too full ( over eating or eating too much) I have a hard time when I’m feeling gassy or being able to pass gas. That can be very painful at times. But I also can get panicky when I feel this way because feeling indigestion up around my chest area I don’t want to mistake that with chest pains. I am a 2 time heart attack survivor also. Although I have Cancer I got a lot of other issues unrelated to that. My main concern is my HEART ♥️ and my MENTAL health because if I don’t take care of it 1st nothing will be possible. So I try to be mindful of what and I much I eat. I take my next injection on 05/09/25 after the injection the sting seems to last about 20 minutes and I feel fine. Once I get home I get into my pajamas and I beige watch some movies 🍿 and I rest and about 3days later I’m back almost 💯feeling fine. I can get out and do things I like to do. At first I was depressed, swelled at the injection site but that has not happened in a awhile. Here’s a funny thing though the night before I go for my injection I cannot sleep at all I toss and turn throughout the night WHY I don’t know 🤷🏽‍♀️ but it’s something I feel I guess. Truth be told this Cancer thing gets me more mentally than physically. Thank God for therapy because this is not easy. I hope this helps I feel like I’m going on and on. I will FOREVER be THANKFUL, Grateful and Blessed by the most high Good or Bad!!!!

@cu2: Hang in there! You have a lot to deal with & you are still looking for answers! Kudos to you for being so strong through this net cancer merry-go-round!
Those Lanreotide shots have the same, yet different effects every month. I get “D” a couple days before shot, fatigue & “C” for a couple days after shot; can’t predict energy level from day (or moment) to future.
You know we have this net, so we will find a way to make the best outcome. When I get LOW I recall “Hey, you aren’t 6ft. under”!
I will share my super secret with you… on really difficult days I wear my “Wonder Woman Sox”! (see dollar store-kids section). It gives me extra courage and makes me smile at my craziness! It works for me! Best to you Cu2!!! Hang in there!
