Has anyone used CBD oil for chronic pain? And do you have results?
I'm a chronic pain suffer of 35+ years. Scoliosis is the culprit. Not a disfiguring curve but non the less painfully destructive. Almost every disc is bulging from 3mm to 6mm. I've had 2 spinal fusion. C 3-7 and L 4-5. Have 4 nerve root impengements with spondylosis in some areas and stenosis at interval from neck to sacral. Take steroid shots when I can with positive results for a few weeks. Always have Norco 5mg/325 ready if needed. Unfortunately I have found the best way to keep pain down is to lie down. So most of my days are spent on my bed. Any suggestions?

I am reluctant to post as I don't want to cause a ruckus, but, have you thought of medical marijauna? I recently was approved for the use of medical marijauna for my pain, and am truly seeing positive results. Since I do not want to smoke anything, I chose the tincture for night use and gummies during the day.
I think it's important to get cbd from companies with very high standards. I have tried several over the years, and the one I'm using now is the only one that I have gotten results from. All the redness and swelling is gone in my dip joints, which is erosive arthritis, and the other joints are rheumatoid and pain is 30% of what it was. My hands and feet haven't felt this good in many years.
I have tried cbd oil but I had to use far too much for any results and it's much too expensive. I used cbd pills witch were far less expensive and worked far better. Now that cbd is under the control of the government I can no longer get it.
Would you mind sharing what dose works for you for pain control? I'm approved for medical marijuana but haven't found the right dosage to help with pain without feeling spacey during the day from the THC (only 5mg). Unfortunately, our state doesn't include tinctures in their products. The best they offer is a spray which I haven't tried, it's all very expensive to buy and try out if it doesn't help. I've tried THC, CBD and CBN gummies for sleep. They help most with getting to sleep, but I need help with staying or getting back to sleep mid-night and they don't help with that.
Pain makes ppl be in Fight or Flight mode which wakes us up in middle of night. About 2 hrs before bedtime I take 1/2 Ashwagandha tablet. It calms the nervous system. I use 1:1 Indica TruClear in a syring and just squirt out 1 grain of regular rice size (and not a bit more) onto end of a toothpick. I buy it from Trulieve. Then put under tongue about 2 min. It starts working in 1 1/4 hrs. Then Rt at bedtime I take 1/2 size grain of rice of Mirtazapine. I sleep 8 hrs that way and don’t wake up. Good luck.
I've been experimenting with, & have had marginal luck with both making CBD & THC oils, using a pressure cooker for decarboxylation, & infusion using a crockpot. (an internet recipe)
I believe my infusions are only at about 50% of what they should be, but I could be wrong. That's the problem with this method of making oil - there's no standardization in my process.
Anyways,
I find that a 20:1 CBD:THC ratio seems to help me out. I also have a vape that I can mix the same ratio CBD & THC, which also helps. Too much THC & my back pain actually increases.
The syringe you purchased looks like it's THC only - did you take a form of CBD also? For me it's all about CBD!
I'm thinking of buying one of those decarboxylation/infusion machines, for consistency.
You are right - there is no standard dose. I was told in beginning to start with one drop of CBD and one of THC. But I do some days use just two drops of CBD and one of THC every 7 hrs. It makes me a little sleepy so I certainly don’t drive during that time.
You are finding ur way thru it all. I commend you.
Too much THC does indeed have a kick bk.
There is a company online called “Charlotte’s Web.” They are very reputable and have a variety of CBD products. I use the sleep gummies which are cbd and melatonin. I get good results, but do think they are a little pricey.
Isolated CBD simply does not work for much. But, a quality full spectrum may be helpful. Does have THC...but not enough to change your state of consciousness. Recently, I have been applying several drops of pure, full spectrum CBD to the tops of my feet (The tincture itself, not a topical cream), and rubbing it in. My condition is severe neuropathy. And haleluiah, I 'm experiencing some relief it seems.
