My fever developed after 14 days…..I believe it was from fluid collecting on my abdomen…I had a drain when I went home but a separate pocket developed and needed drainage. It took quite a while before the IR people inserted the 2nd drain. I had very bad fever and it took a couple of months before it totally resolved.

Hi @maggieflorida, you've must've been concerned about these symptoms during the holiday. Were you able to contact your team? How are you doing today? Has the fever subsided?

Hi Colleen
Went to Dr after a week of low grade fevers and terrible night sweats. Had a ct of chest pelvis stomach and nothing showed. Ran blood cultures and they were good. Doc thinks it’s just a lot of post op inflammation. We’re taking it day by day. Thanks for reaching out

Hello maggieflorida,
I had the same surgery as you one year ago. No fever following surgery that I recall. As far as the diarrhea, are you taking Creon before meals? My surgeon never mentioned it, but when I began experiencing sharp pains after eating a couple days after surgery, my nurse recommended the Creon.
