@madmouse43 Understandable. I’m glad to hear the PN isn’t interfering with your sleep! I haven’t found anything to help enough to justify the side effects (with the exception of Amitriptyline, but to your point, whether it actually helps SFN is questionable). I must caution against using Lyrica. It caused a bout of despair that I have never experienced before. Thankfully I was able to recognize that it was a side effect from the medication and stopped immediately but it was scary. However, I know some people use it with no issues. Everyone is different. I have found some relief in my PEMF therapy mat. Have you tried things other than prescriptions?

I have tried other things. I tried the Revitive machine that O got 2 years ago. I thought it helped. This time I used it consistently for 2 weeks and noticed no help at all. I tried Alpha-Linolic-acid (ALA) with very marginal results (600mg 2 times a day). I am still taking the ALA as my PCP told me that is is helpful for other issues and takes it herself (Reading the results that some people have was looking promising.) I mentioned in another post that the same PCP thought that some of it might be low blood pressure do what I was doing when it came on. Reduced my heart meds with my Cardiologist and PCP and that helped quite a bit for me, but I realize that was a personal unique result.
I have tried compression socks and numerous creams. Lidocaine 4% has helped (I like this as I found it in a roll-on so I don't contaminate my hands with it and het it in my eyes, etc.)
The bottom line, for me, is that I have tried a lot of different remedies with very little or marginal success.
