My PCP suggested getting a head MRI to rule out the Trigeminal nerve being involved. I have some disc issues in my neck but I’ve never addressed them I just do my best with posture and Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Usually one or the other helps.

did you ever find out what was wrong? i am experiencing brain zaps with a possible middle ear infection right now.
