Do you have an inspiring or favorite quote to share?
I'll start with three quotes from the very inspiring Helen Keller as noted in "Your Year of Healing" book by Amit Sood, MD:
"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched -- they must be felt with the heart."
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

Love Is The Power to the World
The force of love has no opposite. There is no other power in life but love. There isn't a force of negativity. In ancient times, negatively was sometimes described as "the devil" or "evil". Being tempted be evil or the devil simply meant being tempted to fall into negative thoughts and feelings, rather than standing firm in the positive force of love. There is no force of negativity. There is only one force, and that force is love.
All the negative things you see in the world are always, always manifestations of a lack of love. Whether that negativity is in a person, place, circumstance, or event, it has always come from lack of love. There isn't a force of sadness; sadness is a lack of happiness, and all happiness comes from love. There isn't a force of illness; illness is a lack of health, and all health comes from love. There isn't a force of poverty; poverty is a lack of abundance, and all abundance comes from love. Love is the positive force of life, and any negative condition always comes from a lack of love.
When people reach the tipping point of giving more love than negativity, we will see negativity vanish from the planet at a rapid rate. Imagine it! Every single time you choose to give love, your love is helping to tip the entire world into positivity! Some people believe that we are very close to the tipping point now. Whether they're right or not, more than ever, now is the time to give love and positivity. Do it for your life. Do it for your country. Do it for the world.
Rhonda Byrne, The Power
BE THE LOVE THAT YOU ARE
Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides, and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.

FRENCH PHILOSOPHER AND PALEONTOLOGIST
chris20 just posted this to another area and I copied it to post here:
"I read this stunning quote by Augusto Cury:
"A person doesn't die when his heart stops beating; he dies when the world tells him he is no longer of any value."
And, I would add, that this is applicable when we, ourselves, tell ourself that we are no longer of value? That would certainly apply to me. I thought this was spot-on for this conversation!

Hi everyone!
It's been a month or so since anyone posted a quote!
This is one of my favorite conversation threads here at Mayo Connect. I really miss the inspiration... I know that the earlier sunset is making me less inspired.
Sorry that I don't have a contribution today, but does anyone else have a good quote for us?
Take care, everyone!
"Can a mother forget her infant, be without tenderness for the child of her womb? Even should she forget, I will never forget you."
Isaiah 49:15

Gratitude is when memory is stored in the heart and not in the mind. —Lionel Hampton
Let us be grateful to people that make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. —Marcel Proust
The question is not who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.
