Prolia and Hair Loss

Anyone experience hair loss with Prolia? I would also like to hear about those on Prolia with no issues?

I am having hair loss from Prolia too. Does it get less with continued treatment or should I get switched to another drug?

I took Prolia and lost some of my jaw bone it started out like blisters and then some of the jaw bone died and had to have surgery and caused two vertebra to break in my theorist spine and had surgery for that too but I didn't have a problem with hair loss

Me, I’ll probably start taking Prolia next year. I’ve had too many accidents that should have been broken bones -but nothing broke!! So unless I learn of something better I’ll probably return to it!
Please tell me if there’s something better!

Don't take Proia I lost some of my jaw bone and broke two vertebrae in my theorist spine and I had only two injections ,it's very rare it happens but I just happen to be one of them

I stopped taking Prolia in anticipation of dental work and after almost three months off of it, I fractured T4 and T5. I was in SO MUCH pain. Had to wear a full back brace. Finally had cement injected into the fractures. Just a warning if you stop taking Prolia. Unfortunately, as far as I know, almost any osteo drug and invasive dental do not go hand in hand. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Hair loss: Yep, me too.

To my knowledge, invasive dental work can be performed while taking Tymlos

Has anyone stopped using Prolia? I've heard it causes fractures--is that true and how often? I also have hair loss, even though my doctor said this was not a side effect.

Oh, no. I wasn't aware that hair loss was a side effect. I've had 3 infusions but didn't have hair loss. Is there anything that can stop it?

I don't think hair loss is a given for everyone. I've had 7 prolia infusions without any hair loss.

I had the 2nd injection of Prolia and noticed large amounts of hair in my shower. Can this be reversed when you stop Prolia?

I had the 2nd injection of Prolia and noticed large amounts of hair in my shower. Can this be reversed when you stop Prolia?

I only had one injection last year, and my hair was coming out in clumps. I've been losing hair ever since perimenopause started about 10 years ago, but Prolia took it to a whole new level. I did not get any more injections. After some research, about 5 months ago I started using a shampoo designed to slow hair loss. I'm sure it doesn't work for everyone, but for me, it's worked better than I even hoped it would. My hair loss is now at normal levels, like it was before perimenopause.
There are several shampoos for hair loss on the market. After researching them, I chose Pura d'or Hair Thinning Gold Label Shampoo, and I buy it directly from the company's website. The price seems high, but I'm still using the bottle I bought in October, and it's nowhere near finished.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. It is a terrible side effect of this drug. I also had 2 injections and I’m done with that. I have an appointment next month with an endocrinologist. However, I’m tempted to go the natural route. I eat very well, maintain my weight and walk 3 to 4 miles 4 days a week. Hoping that works!
