B-6 vitamin danger!
With the assistance of a neurologist at Mayo Clinic, I have almost completely eliminated the uncontrolled muscle spasms now. First and foremost: beware of taking multi-vitamin capsules that have B6 listed. B-6 overdosage (which is contained in every multivitamin I found in stores and on the internet) can cause loss of muscle control and spasms in some people. So can gluten found in many foods so now I am also gluten free. I now work out with a personal trainer 3 days a week and do water aerobics another 2 days. Got off gabapentin and also clonazepam. Using CBD oil capsules each morning (no more opioids or chemicals) and using a CBD topical ointment to rub on my leg muscles each night. He says I don't need him anymore! And I don't. No more shaking or muscle cramps or pain. Still a little numbness but that is receding also.

My PN is from VitB6 toxicity. That vitamin is in many supplements and certain foods. Good thing is there is hope to heal, but it’s a process that can take time. If you are on Facebook check the group “Understanding Vitamin B6 to Toxicity using Western Medicine”. They give a protocol to follow that has been helping me. Good luck.
Which CBD capsules are you taking that help the pain?
Many of the items you mention taking may also contain added b6. I became b6 toxic from melatonin that had 10mg added b6 as well as EmergC. Some magnesium also has added b6. If taken for months or years amounts as low as 20mg of b6 have been shown to cause PN. In my opinion no one needs b6 supplements considering all the b6 we get from natural foods as well as food fortified with b6.
If you haven't tried TENS, I highly recommend it. You can find them on Amazon or eBay for less than $50. The key to using Tens successfully is to place the transducer pads over a nerve that feeds the problem area with the problem area between the two nerves. Step up the current until you readily feel it and then step down one setting. Using the device with high current isn't necessary to get relief and will cause muscle pain if done often (the pulses create muscle contraction and you don't want much of that. They are portable with wireless remote controls. So, you can put them to work under your clothes and go about your business. Also, you can Google for Acupuncture/Acupressure charts showing nerve points; if you don't feel the current on a low setting, experiment by moving the transducer to a different spot. There is a wealth of info to be found on Google for how to use them. Many nights I would get no sleep if I didn't have mine next to the bed available for use. My PN is sort of weird, some nights it doesn't bother me at all, and other times it is hell on earth.
Research the use of TENS. The devices are cheap and will definitely silence the offending nerve/s. Google "TENS", you can find the devices for less than $50 (eBay/Amazon. Read several search results on their use. Set them one step down from where you start to feel the current pulsing, that is usually all you need and the most comfortable way to silence the nerve ending. They time out after 20 or 30 minutes, the transducers are reusable if stored properly. The devices are rechargeable by USB like your phone. You can wear the transducers under your clothes with the remote control in your pocket and go about your business. It really makes a difference in how much sleep you get when you have an attack of PN.

I’m not taking CBD
I don’t drink any energy drinks and not taking a multivitamin. I drink a lot of water 64-120 oz. And haven’t gotten to touch base with my provider yet

A lot of supplements include vitamin B6. As others have said, magnesium and multivitamins are among the most likely to include way too much.
In May I had a blood test to see if I was deficient in vitamin B6. The test came back with a pathology warning that I was at high risk for peripheral neuropathy with B6 level at 720 nmol/L - normal range is 20 - 190 nmol/L. I was told to check supplements, especially magnesium. The magnesium I'd been taking for over 10yrs included 60mg of B6, a toxic dose when taken daily, as I was. The recommended daily dose is 1-3mg.
I immediately switched magnesium brands to one with no B6 and my latest blood test is B6: 80 nmol/L. Back to normal. No wonder I had years of unexplained intermittent hand and feet numbness.
Have you checked the ingredients list for every one of your supplements for B6 (pyridoxine), starting with the magnesium? You may be surprised to find it in one or more of them.
I have and I’ve been surprised by the levels of B6. 😳 what brand of magnesium did u switch to?
