Rick, AZ for 40 months means 250mg 3 times a week? I'm on 250mg 3 times a week for 2 weeks now. Is it safe?

I did 28 months of daily 500mg AZ. Then 12 months of 500mg MWF. Daily is tough, 3 times a week is much more tolerable. You must take AZ with other antibiotics so you don't develop a resistance

I'm same as you. I tried 500 3x a week and my guts couldn't take it. My doc said the real purpose was served as well by 250, 3x.
She said it " changes the immuno environment in the lungs" and MIGHT help my endless cough

Having bronchiectasis can be embarrassing. Each time I eat a meal, within a few minutes after finishing the meal I begin to have a productive cough. I have to excuse myself and deal with it. The episode doesn't last very long, but it is embarrassing. When I asked my pulmonologist about it, he said he said he couldn't find any correlation and acted like he didn't believe me. Correlation or not, if happens and I wonder if anyone else has this problem.

Same here. That's why I am going to see a GI doctor to see if I have reflux or silent reflux. I always have to do Airway clearance before lunch and dinner, so that mucus does not come out after eating.

I haven't had this happen in a way I could track.
I do find that even after my neb and clearing I simply keep producing mucus spontaneously for hours. I admit that there are times I opt for suppressing the cough, just to take a break!

Productive coughs after eating seem to come with the territory. Since I've been practicing almost complete clearance, productive coughs after eating are less of an issue. The downside is that it's time consuming and somewhat exhausting. The upside is that I cough less during the day including after meals.

What do I mean by near complete clearance? Until mucus turns the faintest color of pale yellow to white or clear. More often pale pale yellow and small amount, 1/2 penny's worth! My 2 cent$
