I agree you need to consult with a dermatologist.
The groin lesion needs to be to be cultured once again
to look for resistant staph. You may likely need another
antibiotic. Over the counter meds are not likely to help
without proper diagnosis. In addition a broad spectrum
cream that takes care of resistant bacteria may be necessary. Do not apply any topicals before you are seen
for reculture.

Thanks for the response! I have been seen by dermatology 2-3 times already. I have Kaiser. Will be seeing another MD soon and will ask for a 2nd culture to check for resistant staph and possibly request to be seen by a wound specialist. Appreciate the help!
