Actually @gailb and @hazelblumberg it is not 'a great idea'. It is clearly illegal to share in any manner medical marijuana.
Hi Hazel (@hazelblumberg) - Not sure if this will help but I found this website that tells you what is needed to qualify for medical marijuana in Florida: https://www.marijuanadoctors.com/medical-marijuana/FL/qualification
Reading through it looks like they are not making it easy. Caveat from the webpage:

Medical Marijuana Access in Florida
Some medical marijuana patients will claim they have a doctor's prescription for medical marijuana, but marijuana prescriptions are in fact illegal. The federal government classifies marijuana as a schedule I drug. Therefore doctors are unable to prescribe marijuana to their patients, and medical marijuana patients cannot go to a pharmacy to fill a prescription for medical marijuana. Instead, medical marijuana physicians will supply patients with a medical marijuana recommendation in compliance with state law. Patients have to undergo a full physical examination and assessment of medical history before receiving a recommendation for a qualifying condition.
Possession and cultivation regulations is yet to be determined, but is expected to be addressed during the rulemaking process. Check MarijuanaDoctors.com frequently for status updates as the program begins to unfold.

Cassie, how bad is your pain? My thinking is you are only 55 and they say a knee replacement is only good for 20 yrs at most. The Doctor wants to wait until you are older so they don't have to do another one later. I am of the thinking that you would have to be in awful pain to go through the surgery. It is not a piece of cake but very painful. Then again you don't want to wait until you are elderly and the recovery is a little longer. But at age 60 if you can wait that long is a good age. I was 70 when I had mine and recovered well but 4 months post op I am still in pain. Not much but it can take up to a year for a full recovery. But, back to the question, how bad is the pain? Is it interfering with walking. I am Marield65. Nice meeting you and let me know how you are doing.
Karl, @oldkarl, would you tell me what clinic you visit?
Jim
@sandytoes14
I'm truly sorry for your troubles.
Jim
To jimhd, from Marield65. Did they say you had delirium and what was it from? I need to know more about it. Thanks
Cassie @cassie123, it seems that the decision of when to have a knee replacement would be up to the owner of the knee. Second opinion time?

@contentedandwell
I take Generlac, which I suppose is another name for Lactulose, and have gotten to like the taste. I've found that if I eat a couple of bites of chocolate right before taking the Generlac, it makes it taste better.

Cassie @cassie123, my brother had to have both knees replaced when he was in his 50s. For the first one, he walked and exercised religiously, doing the things that are prescribed for post surgery. He had a very good recovery. The second one, he wasn't as obsessive pre-surgery, and recovery was longer and more painful. He was bone on bone in both knees, a result of being a plumber. I recommend doing what you think is best for you, taking into consideration all that you read and are told.
