How about a laugh, (hopefully)
I believe laughter is the best medicine. Laughter has actually been scientifically proven to help people with depression issues.
Let’s give it a try so we can all get happy and feel better. Many Epilepsy forums I’ve been on had joke sections. I was probably the biggest joke of all since I didn’t get a lot of the jokes. They said the jokes couldn’t be above 4th grade level for me to understand them so my jokes may be rather simplistic but let’s give it a try.
Have a lovely day everyone,
Jake

Hi Doris Jeanne,
You are 87 and on the internet!! Wow, am I impressed. I hope I can keep trying new things. You inspire!
In Don Quijote de la Mancha, Miguel de Cervantes said that a tooth is more valuable than a diamond. I agree!
Post us some more of your life experiences, please? I bet you have some great stories and great insights!
Anne
Thanks for your response! Yes, in 87 years, I have had many experiences; recently I had 2 strokes followed by a month in 3 hospitals and 5 weeks in a nursing home. My daughter and her hubby brought me home and spent 4 months here in my home with me.
I finally managed to walk without the walker and have been here alone now for several weeks...so far, so good!
That was quite a groaner, But I'll take what I can get!
🤣
HI Doris,
If you don't mind, would you tell us about some of the most memorable moments of your life?
My grandmother-- who would be older than you-- said that seeing an airplane for the first time was amazing. Everyone in her city neighborhood came running outside and climbed out on the roofs to see it. That would have been in the early 1920s.
I'm really happy that your health is on the upswing. What a blessing to have your daughter and son in law there with you.
I was born in 1936, the oldest of 7. I was in elementary school during WWII and clearly remember rationing , especially sugar! My mother would bake and mail cookies to her brother, who was in bombing raids over Italy and we would watch her package them. He later told us they were crumbs when they arrived, but still treasured!
My husband and I traveled all over the US in our tent, pop-up camper, then fifth wheel and finally small motor home for most of our nearly 60 year marriage. We saw a lot of this beautiful country for not much money! I began college at age of 39 and got my degree to teach at age of 43, after raising my two girls. I taught for 17 years and retired at 60 when my husband's health became precarious. We moved to the Ozarks in 1980 from suburbs of Memphis, TN and I taught at a small mountaintop school for 16 years. That's sort of a short version of my life so far! I've been a widow for 10 years now.
This is much more than you asked for! Sorry!! I am alone here most of the time ; so sometimes get a little too much. One of my neighbors told me I should write my autobio! Nah! Too old now; I never really did anything unusual. But thanks for asking!
If your house is haunted by the ghost of a chicken, it's a poultrygeist, a fowl spirit, and you will need to call an eggsorcist.
When choosing an exorcist, Id take some time and do your homework before pecking one. A lot of them aren't what they're cracked up to be and the good ones don't come cheep.
Nope, they don't work for chicken feed.
Better be ready to shell out.
Oh, eggscellent! I'm impressed, my friend!
Thanks!
Obviously, omelette'n on at just how much I love chicken jokes.
