Collagen for osteoporosis?
My friend's medical doctor has her take collagen for her bones. I decided to try it and wondered if anyone knows more than I do about this.

3 ReactionsI was told that after one year on Evenity we have to take another pharm or the gains regress to the state the bones were in prior to beginning Evenity.
I have asked to postpone Evenity for six months while I try to go the route of nutrition and exercise regimens that tell the bones to repair.
It is a tough decision and I wish you all good health. Thank you for sharing.

1 ReactionIf you learned from Dr. McCormack's book I would say that was information gained. It is your (our)journey in life and we want to make the best decisions for ourselves.

1 ReactionYou're lucky! Mine rolled her eyes. And when I said I would like a CTX test she said she didn't know what that was, and that was that. I went somewhere else to get the lab.
"Eyeballs rolled" Oh dear!
He doesn't think a chiropractor who was diagnosed with this terrible disease, spending his entire life studying it, with the desire to educated us, so we may make a choice that we are most comfortable with is deserving of some respect. If only the medical profession would take such an interest.
To @kellettla , Wishing you the best! ❤️

2 ReactionsSorry. My PA isn't great. But she seems to be cooperating with this plan. I want to go because they are not thorough and let things go that they shouldn't. I am just going to stay here for a little while longer, then I am going to find someone else before she kills me.

2 ReactionsI was taking fosamax for several years and I started researching more about it. I found an article that stated some research has been done and they found patients on collagen had better bone improvement than the fosamax patients. Only one article but I decided to switch. I have seen some improvement in my vertebrae scores but neck is now at an osteopenia level. I'm sticking with the collagen..
