From what you describe the symptoms have gotten worse recently and is something you should seek help for as soon as possible. Have you discussed the gasping for air with your doctor?

Thank you John for posting that link that’s a lot of great information dealing with Cataplaxy that gives me more tips to look for. First time it happened I was by myself with an electric blanket on only thing I could think of was that there was a short in the blanket . Then I’ve had episodes of being paralyzed if i lay my hands on my chest and cross my fingers I can’t move or speak( just need someone to touch me ) but I can’t get their attention
