Plantar Fasciitis: How did you get rid of it?
I don't know if this is where this should be posted, but I have a few questions. Almost seems like it goes hand and hand with neuropathy.
Have you had it and how did you get rid of it. I have done 2 injections.. I use ice and ice bottle almost nightly, I've massaged, I've purchased special shoes, and I've worn compression sleeves, plus I've done the night splint.. It just won't go away. I know it's because of the atrophy on that calf.
If you've had it please share what worked for you to get rid of it.

Bunnybear, Praying for you and I am so sorry. Hugs & Blessings....
My chiropractor suggested castor oil with pain reducing essential oils helychrisum, is a good start. I worked miracles! In a very short time, I continue to use it daily. Also magnesium bicylinate works for cramping.
Do you drink it or apply it to painful areas?
Never drink castor oil! It is a topical heavy oil with about 20 drops of essential oil in 30ml bottle 3% dilution.
I recently read that it can be caused by flat feet. If that is the case look to cure that and it should go away. I have 1 foot that is becoming flat. I have had alot of pain in that arch at times. My ankle on that foot has even been affected. I bought a PTTD Brace prescribed by a podiatrist. I don’t use it regularly but it’s helped with the pain associated with a flat foot.
Hi,
What Brand and where did you buy it?
Thanks,
Doug
Get organic if possible and hexane free. Any health store should carry it. Along with the essential oil, try for a pain blend.
I have eye witnesses. I had been completely incapacitated by plantar fasciitis and could barely hobble into twice- weekly PT. Massage, ice, ultrasound and home exercise. I would even get hystamine stings from the treatment and cry out. Nothing helped until I got an RX for flexeril. One evening in desperation I doubled the dose and the next morning I could bear weight. Didn’t make the connection until I repeated a few weeks later. I convinced the dr to increase the dose and I was able to discontinue the PT. However, really try to get off as soon as you can. Flexeril or cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxant.
Interesting! i will give it a try. I'll try anything at this point. I don't know if I will ever be able to go on walks again. It has been 7 months of agonizing pain.
Linda, I notice I might be the only patient suggesting a drug remedy (other than one for CBD rub, which just might work too) but after a too-long encounter with capable physical therapists who just could not conquer it, I had to try a different route. I hope you have a cooperative doctor who will work with you. In my case, no other muscle relaxant has ever worked on me for any pain except the flexeril. I'm seeing from all the posts how unique each person is in finding a solution--even including the extreme option of surgery. Just don't get hooked on this drug if it does work for you!
