Positive ANA: What might be the cause?
Hello,
I am reaching out to anyone who has had a positive ANA blood test result. I aced Rheumatology testing and I believe that Mercury toxicity is the cause. Does anyone have a similar case or know somebody who does..? TY..!

Just start changing your mindset from chocolate being essential and nice to eat, to it being actual poison to your body. Your body is all you have really so it’s not good to be fuelling it with food that is not good for it.
GI parasites added to my cravings and leaky gut feeling, Many visible while treating same, which helped control my appetite. Also autoimmune flares often undermined my feeling of control. Working through flares was my biggest challenge.
Over the top ANA and 0 rheumatology, although symptoms support RA or Lupus. Quite a few in this group have diagnosed RA without rheumatology titer.
As I was reading your comment, I realized that when my RA flares, I do feel out of control - cue the chocolate. Food for thought (pun intended).
Yes, deciding factor was the ultrasound results.
What does an RA or Lupus flare feel like. Diagnosed with RA 9 months ago. I am confused with My RA diagnosed. I don’t have red swollen painful joints. I have severe weakness in my legs, needing support from sitting to rising position. I later developed chronic inflammation, sprain, and heel spur in my right ankle doesn’t relieve by topical agent. My finger tips often bluish if I picked up something eg. off the floor or use hand sanitizer they feels hard started after I have COVID. 7 months after being on methotrexate I noticed my WBC going up. What is this medication doing to me. Do I need more meds or stop or change it. I am so confused.
For my Sjogren test it was .2? is this positive or negative
Hello, I am new to this group and would like to share my story. Maybe someone here has an answer, or at least an idea what my next step should be. I have been in pain for several months (hands and feet, also pins and needles), get worse at night. OTC painkillers don't help as well as prescription ones (gabapentin, amitriptyline, Robaxin). I first thought about RA as my mom has it so got tested for RA panel. ANA is positive, the rest is negative thus it is not RA, per my providers. ANA cascade test: ANA positive, the rest negative thus it is not autoimmune, per my providers. All other tests (cbc, bpm, vitamins, hormones) are normal. Pain is slowly getting worse and now not just feet and hands but also arms and legs hurt. Pain doesn't get worse or better because of certain activities (or inactivity). I spoke to three doctors (all internal medicine). One told me it was nothing, just probably fibromyalgia and gave me amitriptyline that didn't work. The second one told me it was nothing because healthy people often have positive ANA and my pain will go away if I take ibuprofen. The third one simply told me not to worry about it. I asked all three for a referral to a rheumatologist but non of them saw a reason for me to see a rheumatologist, or any other specialist. So here I am, trying to convince myself that it is nothing and my pain is nothing to worry about, as recommended by my providers:-)
I know it’s very frustrating! I’ve gone through that as well, but eventually found an excellent rheumatologist. Keep advocating for yourself because it takes many doctors to fill in the blanks. It was my ophthalmologist that diagnosed my uveitis and then did bloodwork. I was HLA B 27 positive . Which suggests spondylitis. She is the one who referred me to the rheumatologist.
Please research spondyloarthritis.
If you have or have had any of the symptoms or comorbidities, then
Ask for .simple blood test that any Dr can order for HLA-B27.
