Pressure/pain in nose & upper teeth

Posted by tzachi121 @tzachi121, Jul 3, 2023

In the last few years i am suffering from feeling of strong pressure inside the right side on my nose . Sometime also in the front upper teeth .
Intensifies during physical activity . After few minutes of laying down it almost disappeared.
I have also many time thick back nasal drip only on this side
Visited : ENTs , dentists , neurologists, mouth & jaw , alergy specialist . Did CT , did Fess surgery .took variuos neurological medicines , antibiotics , telfast . Nobody know what it is .
I can point to an area inside my noise that seems to be the focus of the pressure .
Any idea ?

Hi @dloos. I havnt gone back for your journey so hopefully not repeating or frustrating with following 🙃 After consult with ENT head surgeon, for year and half of indescribable front of head/face pressure/pain causing random difficulty breathing with no other obvious sinus issues, found varying inflammation likely cause. This led me to track detailed daily activity and food for triggers of increased inflammation. Don't get discouraged by low inflammation food lists or activity restriction as you’ll find many sources here and other reputable sites for beneficial pacing and food alternatives. Best of healing to you🌈

Thanks for your comments. I have not done a restrictive diet. I have read about the low histamine diet of course, and know it has helped some. I have lost thirty pounds this year and frankly now just try to eat whatever appeals to me to keep some weight on. Maybe this is incorrect thinking, but when I was very careful and trying for a healthier diet weight was still falling off. Some days I eat pretty well, organic and reasonable amounts, other days I eat ice cream. Other days I have no appetite and find it hard to eat at all. Just trying to get through the day and not waste away.

Still looking for answers on clogged ears (16 months)
Some believe it is all related to sinus issues. I certainly believe it is all related in some way, shape or form. My nose is very dry, seems swollen, but not snotty and makes breathing difficult. Then it will spontaneously clear and I can breathe again.
Have seen all kinds of doctors. (6 ENTs). Nobody has a clue.

I too have clogged ears that comes and goes after a hearing loss. ENT says everything about nt ears are normal - it's in the brain. I started though having ear and jaw pain after taking a cancer med. Only thing that temporarily helps are hot compresses. I might try acupuncture for the ear.

I hope you find some relief.
My hearing loss is connected to Covid. I have tried two different Acupuncturist and for me it was not the answer.
Many medications are ototoxic and doctors aren’t very knowledgeable on that.

Hey there, Did you have COVID by chance? COVID can do a lot of crazy things. I am a long time sinus sufferer with allergies and had sinus surgery back in 1994. Pressure & pain in the face, nose & upper teeth for me comes from sinus pressure or a sinus infection. Have you tried a sinus irrigation like NeilMed Sinus rinse? This is different than the netti pot. As the netti pot can back up in your eustachain tubes and cause more issues. This has helped me greatly. Also, there is a product on Amazon called Alkalol that is a sinus spray with essential oils that has helped. It cleans out the sinuses. Please talk to your doctor before trying these. I'm curious, are you stuffy? Is it hard to breathe? I question allergies. I also question if you have a blockage...you may need a 2nd option from an ENT. I pray you get some relief from this. I know this is miserable for you.
