Ronni: I've been wearing braces for the last 2-3 years and I can tell you they make a tremendous difference. I had gone to a chiropractor that I had to pay out of pocket for treatment. He was against the braces, but I went with the medical advice I received and started wearing them. I can now drive and do most anything I want to. They helped my balance tremendously and half the time people don't even notice I'm wearing them. It's worth it to be independent. I went for a year not being able to drive and it was miserable. So I am a big advocate of the braces.

Just keep moving and try to not accept too many drugs. Be careful of over use or not thinking of how strong those drugs are. They are hard on your liver and other organs. Hang tough! We are all in this together!

Thank you so much for your post, @bburleson1!
I live in Florida and I am concerned about it making me warmer than I already am.
But now, you have given me the desire and confidence to use the brace.
You are so right about being independent and being able to drive.
I want that FREEDOM!!!!
I wear shorts almost all year round so I am sure it will be noticed, but I don't care!
I am not real big on what people think.
My philosophy is if you don't like it, don't look.
One question, do you wear one or two??
Thanks again, I really appreciate your post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep I agree that leg braces have given me the freedom to be part of my bigger world; walking, bicycling, dancing at weddings.
I wear colored or patterned knee socks under the bracing and feel like I’m stylin’🤸♀️
John thanks for your reply. The cause is unknown in my case. But I have constant tingling on legs and arms. Of course it is worse at night when trying to sleep. Sometimes I get a strong pain in my right leg near the knee and one in my thigh. I use a tens machine for the pain but the tingling and numbness doesn't stop. I also have restless legs and take requip for that along with tramadol. It helps with the rls but no the tingling and numbness.<br />

Mayo Clinic told me that they aren't taking any new neuropathy patients. I guess they are swamped. Since there are so many of us (I think I read 24 million people) who have neuropathy/chronic pain, it's time for the R and D companies to find better medicine for pain. Peggy
I am now 72 young and live in California.
I have been living with peripheral neuropathy from a Fall Accident 15 years ago-Extreme PN in both feet Identical-Could not Walk for about 30 days-Many Many Dr's with no help except Phara Opiates with some even stronger ones and more of them. No one could find a cure or even the source. So the main item was to get thru the day and somehow get to sleep. I have even had custom made Phara Ketone pain creams that worked fare at $300 per 6 oz. ouch $$! I found a lotion and now using it called Neuro-freeze (cooling) and I am clad to say now 2 less opiates per day and it helps me to get some sleep at night. MicTim
Yes you are right to find a natural relief, you might try a topical pain lotion. Or you may try a liquid Liposomal Vitamin C and B type as they will help the strengthen the nerve endings and blood cells. It will take about 1-2 months of 1-2 units per day. The first day you should feel a difference, drink lots of good water!! MicTim

I take a cbd brownie at night and helps me sleep . I have neuropathy all over from a neck surgery .
I have used cbd and THC oils and many Opiates as well as custom made pharma creams to date.
I am now using a lotion called Neuro freeze and have reduced my opiates levels and can sleep better now.
Thanks I will try to find it !!
