I was on that plus others ! Best thing I ever did was sign up with Mayo for pain management and got off most meds and learn a better way to deal and understand my needs. Mayo staff and doctor were not pills pusher BUT helpful in getting to know ME and my pain levels. We are all NOT “ one pills fits all”.

Thank you. I was blessed with a appointment so quickly because someone had canceled. I was willing to wait for a few weeks , if it were not for this cancellation! After a long time of dealing with my issue, waiting for awesome care, was worth waiting for the best help from Mayo!

Mayo Clinic told me that they aren't taking any new neuropathy patients. I guess they are swamped. Since there are so many of us (I think I read 24 million people) who have neuropathy/chronic pain, it's time for the R and D companies to find better medicine for pain. Peggy

Check out or call the Mayo and ask about the Pain Management Program. They will tell you all you need to know. My pain level is better control with the information and classes and medical team that took care of me. Worth the call and you can learn a lot from the Mayo Clinic.

Hi All!

Yet another new update...….
As a reminder......
I went to a pediatrist to have my feet checked for a few reasons including: her thoughts on the neuropathy, the color changes in my feet and a melanoma checkup (that is where the melanoma was found).
Anyway, I guess I must have been tired because my right foot was apparently dropping.
She suggested I get a brace to help, expecially with my dropped right big toe (which I knew about).
Went this week for a consult and the technician also saw a minor drop in my left foot.
Not dealing with that at this point.
He suggested a foot brace that will help with me picking up my toes.
It will be flexible at the ankle and might even help me drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That, I can't wait for.
So, at the beginning of May, I will return for my brace.
I do not have to wear it 24/7, but he does suggest that if I am walking for longer periods of time, I might want to use it. Since it should make walking less difficult, I shouldn't get so tired and I should be able to walk longer!!!!!

That's all she wrote for now.......
