I had off & on pain for years in R ear. Drs said there was eustacean tube irritation. I used lots of things, including prescriptions & mullein oil, which is supposed to help. Fast forward to this year, my physical therapist showed me a stretch that gets at a tight masseter (jaw) muscle. Clenching apparently can pull on something in the ear & be painful. No more earache for me! You do both sides, L & R: Place thumb the length of and just under the collarbone. Press in firmly, but not hard to hold the tissue in place as you slowly put your head back to look to the cieling, then left and right, while taking deep, full breaths. At first I did this several times a day. Now just every other day.
Also great for after half an hour of looking down at a device!

I want to try this but I am unsure of thumb placement. Is that both thumbs under collarbone on both sides? Does this maneuver have a name so I can maybe find a video?
Thanks for posting. I am trying my version of this and it seems like a good stretch.

I am interested as well. Is there a site that shows a photo and explanation of this PT?
