@lapato

I overcame that problem by joining treatments of BHRT or Bio Hormone Replacement Therapy. I went with the Biote line. Already 9 years and I don’t know where would I be if it wasn’t for this. It is compound medicine and not all doctors
support it. Am 70 yrs old going on 60 …

Biote made my hair fall out and caused problems with my heart plus weight gain. I think it’s an individual choice but I would advise against it. There’s an entire website of horror stories written by women who had the pellets inserted. The consensus seems to be that it’s commercially oriented and not beneficial to women’s bodies.
Good on you for being one of the lucky ones, though!

Laparoscopic,
What is bio hormone replacement therapy? Could you speak more about it?

I also use Biote pellets and I have had no negative issues. I have vaginal prolapse in 2017 and had surgery for it.

"Bioidentical hormones are artificial hormones that are similar to the hormones produced by the human body. They are used as treatment for people whose own hormones are low or unbalanced. Some people benefit from bioidentical hormones, but there are risks to treatment."

Learn more about the risks and benefits, and who shouldn't take bioidentical hormones in these articles.
- Bioidentical Hormones https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/articles/15660-bioidentical-hormones

Mayo Clinic gynecologist, Dr. Tatnai L. Burnett, answers the question:
Q: Are bioidentical or natural hormones safer and more effective than hormones used in traditional hormone therapy for menopause symptoms?
A: "No, they aren't. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and several medical specialty groups, the hormones marketed as "bioidentical" and "natural" aren't safer than hormones used in traditional hormone therapy. There's also no evidence that they're any more effective."

I'm a senior who my doctor would not prescribe estrogen tablets anymore. I cannot use any vaginal creams because of Allergic Contact Dermatitis, ACD. The inactive ingredients caused allergic intense burning reactions. I am also allergic to cortisone. No topicals helped, only made it worse.
Estring has restored my vaginal tissues. No more burning and pain, not just during intercourse, but all the time. Estring is an expensive, silicone ring inserted by your finger in the vagina which stays in and contains time released estrogen for 3 months before it needs to be replaced. I find if I try to make it last a few weeks longer the burning starts to resume. I imagine some estrogen gets into the blood steam but it's worth the risk to me. I've been using it for 2 years. Now at age 74 my husband and I can have an enjoyable healthy sex life again (he is also taking testosteron injections). It took about 3 months to be sure this was healing me and I am so grateful I am not allergic to it.
We've been married 53 years and we're both glad we didn't settle and give up having sexual relations basing it on getting old. It's such a blessing not to feel that burn 24 hours a day.
A side note, I had developed an odor in my vagina which is completely gone because a healthy vagina has secretions which cleanse the vagina.
