Anyone had experience with OsteoStrong, who is not a franchisee?
Has anyone had experience with OsteoStrong? It suggests you will get a large increase in bone density while using their facility 10 minutes per WEEK. Somewhat pricey at $99 and up per month, but am curious if anyone who is NOT a franchisee, has experienced this program?

I have been going to Osteostrong for about 7 months. I just had a Dexa Scan to see if I was making any progress. And I am! My Dexa was the best it’s been in 6 years. I had gotten progressively worse with each scan but now see some reversal. So I’m sticking with it and will have another scan in a year. By the way I’ve always had the scans on the same machine.
I don’t feel that the vibration plates at Osteostrong are too much. I have no trouble doing balancing exercises with them on. I’m going to check to see what they’re set at.
Good luck to you all!
Great to see a positive comment. I’m going to give this a try too
Hello, I’m new to this site and have had some great feedback about researching medication to help halt and hopefully build back my bones from -3.1 in my lumbar spine and -2.5 in my femoral neck. While I’m trying to decide which way to go, I thought it might be beneficial to add the Osteostrong machines to my workout routine. The clinic is not close to my house, and it is quite costly. It’s worth it, if it works. Just wondering if anyone on this site belongs to Osteostrong, and what your personal experience has been like with bone results since being a member.
I am two weeks into Osteostrong so I don't have feedback on whether I have improvement. I'll post if I do.
I am also considering getting MBST treatment in Europe. Got interested after watching a presentation through OsteoBoston. Looking for feedback on that too.
Hi @lynn59, welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. You may notice I moved your discussion and combined it with an existing discussion:

I did this so you could meet the many members discussing osteostrong and see some of their experiences. Members like @rhorich, @patjack2, and @kathryn01 also had questions about osteostrong and shared their experiences as well.
@lynn59, what sort of workouts are you currently doing and are they helping?
I drove over two hours each way to go to OsteoStrong for over 6 months. I really liked it but the drive was too much. I now do the EGYM at the YMCA about 40 minutes away. I feel like it’s also helpful. We’ll see in November when I get my next Dexascan. Good luck to everyone out there!
Thank you Justin. Before COVID, my results were stable for 12 years, likely helped by my workout routine which included 3 days of strength training/stretching at the gym and 1 day of cardio/flexibility at the gym every week for at least one hour. I use a personal trainer on one of my strength training days to ensure I am doing the exercises properly and to challenge me with new exercises. I also hike, bike and kayak in the summer, and downhill, cross country and backcountry ski in the winter. After COVID I lost my routine and although I still exercised, it was much more moderately at home without the heavier weights and gym equipment. I believe that, among other things, like reduced calcium intake and stress contributed to my decline in the last two years.
I commented on a different thread just before reading all of this. I just want to say. Osteo strong may not be contraindicated for healthy young people, though can’t say that for sure . However, I believe it depends on your bone health, ie level of osteoporotic involvement. I assume you have low density to some extent or you wouldn’t be on this site.?? . If that’s the case I myself would not do this. Do your homework!! Good luck!!! It can feel great working out , but in the next moment you could potentially fracture. There aren’t always signs to give you a heads up I’m getting close to fracturing!!!
I have just started at Osteostrong and have a round trip of 3 hours so can only do fortnightly. Will try it for a few months and see how I go. I can do balancing exercises at home on the off weeks and lots of walking. I hope this helps as I don’t like the idea of prolia which my doc is pushing. It’s all a bit scary. I hope others will post their experiences too.
